Q1. Tell us about the Accelevents platform and who it is for?
The Accelevents platform provides an all-in-one event technology solution. From ticketing and registration, to live-streaming, lead capture, and attendee engagement, a comprehensive event experience can be built on our platform without the need of third-party providers. Users love Accelevents because it houses all the event management tools in one place.
Q2. What are your favourite features of the platform?
The mobile app and exhibitor booths are definitely my favorite platform features. The app truly allows for a hybrid event, connecting at-home attendees with those at in-person venues and vice-versa. The Accelevents’ exhibitor booths provide extensive lead data to exhibiting companies, which helps prove event ROI, something that sponsors and organizers love.
Q3. What excites you the most about the future of the events industry; what does it look like to you?
The advent of real hybrid events! Not only because they allow for an easier experience by not having to travel, but they pose an opportunity for brands to house content and foster community. The events industry got an unfortunate shake-up over the past two years, but from that came a period of hyper innovation over the last 18 months that we have not seen in the past 10 years.
Q4. What is your top tip, or 2, for anyone planning a virtual or hybrid event?
Focus on simplicity and user experience for your attendees. If they have to hop from platform to platform or are confused about how to navigate the event itself, you will have problems.
Q6. If your event platform was a music artist, who would it be and why?
We chatted a lot about this internally and had lots of great answers, but we decided on Prince for so many reasons. In a nutshell, he was not only able to write songs, he played over 20 instruments, and made his own music without the need of anyone else. So the power and creativity was in his own hands as an artist and that really resonates with Accelevents. The power and creativity that we can give to our customers means they can do everything they need for their event on the platform.
