The Project

In January 2021, Tech Nation launched their 6th Annual Upscale programme; a 6-month initiative set up to help scale up and accelerate the growth of over 30 UK businesses. Over the course of the 6-month scheme, 33 founders and senior leadership teams will explore fundamental growth challenges, as well as receiving over 60 hours of support from expert scale coaches. Tech Nation approached us to help with their virtual event, in which they would be announcing the 33 high-growth scaleups joining Upscale 6.0.

Challenges

Produce a virtual event across 2-days and keep 50+ Founders / Co-Founder’s engaged
Overcoming tech issues leading up to the event that were outside of our control

Solutions

A well-curated event including a fireside chat between Tom Blomfield, founder of Monzo, and Sarah Wood, co-founder of Unruly as well as others, sharing insights of what companies must go through to scale exponentially.
We encountered difficulties with the integration between Youtube & Remo leading up to the event. We solved the issue by working closely with the Remo support team and putting contingencies in place such as having a backup live stream to hand. In this instance, we used Vimeo as our backup stream which we had also tested leading up to the event.
