The Project

AllSaints launched their Winter 2022 collection at a runway show at Village Underground in the heart of East London.

As the official live stream partner for Village Underground, we filmed the runway, which was live streamed to YouTube for their online audience.

Village Underground is a renovated turn-of-the-century warehouse in Shoreditch, which is well-equipped for hybrid events, filming, and photography and makes for an impressive backdrop to an event or shoot.

Challenges & Solutions

  • Due to the commercial playlist that was chosen, we were not able to use Vimeo as the live stream platform. Instead, we used YouTube, which allows you to test your chosen music through licensing checks, so this was the safest option to progress with. We hosted the stream on the London Filmed YouTube channel to better control the accessibility. We uploaded branded assets, including lower thirds for the introduction and the runway.
  • We visited the site the day before to map out camera positions against the floor plan and ensure the in-house AV setup was optimised for the live stream. We decided to use 3 cameras to get the best coverage of the runway and a nice variation of shots to enhance the overall quality of the stream.
  • We spent time with the in-house AV team to align our objectives and our plan of action and run the necessary tests to ensure the show went without a hitch.

“This was such a brilliant project to be part of. Not only working with one of our partners – Village Underground – at their beautiful venue, but also with such a well-known fashion house, AllSaints. The venue worked perfectly for the brand and the live stream was visually engaging, capturing the energy of the event perfectly.”
