Event Production: The Financial Times
We were back with The Financial Times at the Innovative Lawyers Global Summit with a full event production package including...
We’ve worked with The Spectator on a several events, and this time we were at the Parliamentarian of The Year Awards 2024 at Raffles at the Old War Offices in Whitehall. We produced this high-profile, prestigious event with Event Production, AV, and Set Building.
The client had a specific vision in mind for the set and stage. We took their brief and utilised clever stage design to turn their vision into reality.
On the day, we worked with our carpenters to build a fully carpeted 12x2m stage and installed a 6x4m LED wall flanked by four fabric-wrapped panels, which we had printed and erected with additional rosette decals.
We supplied two Audio Technicians to operate a full PA system and microphones. We provided four lapel mics, and one lectern mic, and had three handheld mics ready as backup.
For the speakers, we included a surround comfort monitor, a countdown timer, and a traffic light kit to keep the show running on time.
Our Video Technician took the live feed from the Camera Operator to broadcast the footage to the audience on the four 65″ in-room screens. For the LED wall, we had two LED processors, with one as a backup and two laptops for playback.
We utilised the in-house lighting rig, adding uplighters to the reception area for a warm welcome. During the event, our Lighting Technician choreographed the lighting effects as per the brief to create a celebratory feel for the award announcements.
Our Project Manager communicated constantly throughout the set-up, event, and de-rig with the client, managing last-minute changes during this fast-paced event.
We worked with Connection Crew to set up and de-rig the venue, ensuring it was left clean and tidy. The panels were disassembled and the materials returned to the carpenter’s workshop for future use.
