Vercel, a US-based technology company, brought its AI Agent Skills event to Village Underground in London, bringing together developers, engineers and technology leaders for an evening focused on AI development and agent-based systems.
The programme featured keynote presentations, live product demonstrations and technical talks exploring open agent ecosystems and AI SDKs. Speakers included Vercel’s Chief Product Officer, Tom Occhino, alongside engineers from Anthropic and Sentry, who shared insights into the latest developments shaping the AI landscape.
We partnered with Vercel to provide production and technical delivery for the event, supporting with on-the-ground expertise to ensure a seamless experience for both speakers and attendees.
The central challenge for this project was delivering a London-based event for a US-based company, which meant the client needed a trusted production team in London who could handle everything from venue sourcing to technical delivery, without the client needing to manage every detail remotely.
They also needed to move quickly. Sourcing a venue that matched the event’s technical requirements and developer audience, coordinating all production elements, and ensuring the schedule ran tight aren’t things you can do effectively from across the Atlantic without people on the ground.

We came on board as Vercel’s local production partner and supported the event from the very beginning. We starting with venue recommendation, running all the way through to technical delivery and content capture.
Through our Smart Venue Partnership network, we referred and facilitated the use of Village Underground, a unique space that hit the brief for this kind of event. It had the right atmosphere for a developer-focused evening, the capacity for the audience, and the infrastructure to support the technical production requirements. As a venue partner, our team knew the space inside and out, adding another layer of trust and confidence for the client, as we understood the intricacies of the space from the onset.
We supplied and managed the full technical production package, including:
Everything was set up, tested, and managed by our team on the day, so that speakers could focus on their presentations, without worrying about the technical delivery of their slides.
We brought in an uplighting package alongside Ovation Profile fixtures for stage illumination, creating the right visual environment for an evening event of this scale.
The physical build included a lectern, 14 sponsor tables with chairs for exhibitors, 12 poseur tables, and easels for signage and way-finding. These elements gave the environment structure and a considered flow for both the speaker programme and the networking.
Live event productions are valuable not only for the insights shared by industry experts and the networking opportunities they create, but also for the wealth of content they generate. Once the event is over, that content can continue delivering value through your marketing channels, helping to promote future events and keep your audience engaged after the day itself. It’s also an opportunity to share key takeaways, speaker insights and expert advice with those who couldn’t attend in person, extending the reach of the event and connecting with a wider online audience.
We delivered a content capture package to maximise the value of the event after the live day itself. This included:
Stage presentation coverage
B-roll capture
Demo capture
This kind of documentation is invaluable for repurposing across social, internal comms, and future marketing, and it’s something that’s worth planning for from day one, not as an afterthought.
The event delivered exactly what Vercel needed: an engaging, well-produced evening for London’s developer community, combining educational content, live product demonstrations, and genuine networking. Vercel were able to run the event confidently from the US, knowing that everything on the ground was being handled.
For us, this is a good example of how we can offer international brands a reliable local partner for UK events, with venue knowledge, production capability, and on-site crew to pull everything together.
